Where is Barbados?

Barbados is known to be the easternmost Island in the West Indies, located at 13°N 59°W, between the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. 

Do I need a Visa?

Entry to Barbados is visa free for a long list of countries including Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. Please check with your travel agent to ensure that your destination of origin is on this listing.

What weather can I expect?

Barbados has a tropical climate, meaning it is separated into the wet and dry seasons. The wet season runs from June to November but in general Barbados is sunny and breezy.

What sort of nightlife is there?

 There is a great selection of nigtlife in Barbados, including areas such as St. Lawrence Gap and 2nd Street. We recommend checking out our dining & nightlife tours for a great selection of things to do after the sun sets in Barbados.

Where should I go shopping?

Our main focus being tourism means that Barbados has a plethora of places to shop, especially on our West and South Coasts. Bridgetown, the capital, is the main shopping area. For the more luxurious shopper, the Limegrove Lifestyle Centre and boutiques around Holetown are the places to shop. There are also a few other local malls to choose scattered around the island.

Can I drink the tap water?

The water on the island is normally considered safe for drinking, however due to the variation of water quality in different countries, we suggest that you consider drinking bottled water.

What currency can I use?

The local currency used is the Barbados Dollar (BBD), however US currency is accepted. The exchange rate is approximately US $1.00 = BBD $2.00

How do I get around the island?

Authorized taxis can be identified by their number plates beginning with Z. They are not metered so you need to agree on a fare and the currency it is being quoted in before departing (BBD$ or US$ for example).
